Know Before You Go

Iron Blossom is an accessible event, & we are dedicated to continually improving our efforts to ensure you have access to all the event amenities. We welcome & encourage all feedback & suggestions from our patrons. The following explains the services provided this year. Please read this informational guide thoroughly before sending an inquiry email. For any accessibility-related questions not answered in the guide, please email us at ada@ironblossomfestival.com.

• WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY
  • The venue is navigable for people with mobility disabilities. The event is held on grass and gravel with an ADA viewing area. Concession areas, ADA restrooms and other festival vendors will be set up throughout the festival site and ADA accessible.
  • We encourage all guests with mobility disabilities to utilize personal forms of transportation, including wheelchairs & scooters. Power assist mobility aids are recommended as the gravel and hill at the festival site can be difficult to navigate.
  • We will not be providing wheelchair or scooter rentals.
• ADA ENTRANCE
  • There will be an ADA entrance, located at the Midtown Green Parks and Rec Building on Leigh (formerly Bon Secours Training Center) at 2401 W Leigh St, Richmond, VA 23220. Guests with Disabilities may use this lane to safely enter the venue. This is NOT the main festival entrance.
• ACCESSIBLE VIEWING AREAS
  • There will an accessible viewing area made available to ADA patrons with a view of both stages. To gain access to this area, please visit us at the Accessibility Services Hub.
  • Accessible Viewing Area Policies:
    • Companions may be asked to stand in the back if capacity is reached
    • Patrons & companions may not smoke in these areas
    • Patrons may not save spots
    • Do not block the view of the guests behind you
• SERVICE ANIMALS
  • Service animals are permitted throughout the venue. However, this does not include emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. Any animal whose task is to provide protection, emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship is not considered a service animal & will not be allowed into the venue. Only service animals that have been individually trained & are under the proper care of their owners will be allowed within the premises. The following guidelines must be followed:
    • All service animals must be registered with the ADA department upon entry into the event
    • All service animals must remain by the handler’s side at all times & must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered. If these devices interfere with the service animal’s work or if the handler’s disability prevents the use of these devices, the handler must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls
    • Service animals must be housebroken & should use the service animal relief area
    • Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for & liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal
    • All service animals should have legally required vaccinations (which ADA staff may ask to see for verification)
    • We ask that you do not leave your animal in your car while you’re inside the event, as vehicles without air conditioning on may become too hot & unsafe for any animal.
• ADDITIONAL SERVICES
  • First Aid: We have a First Aid location within the venue, noted on the event maps. Professional medical staff can help you with your medical needs at these locations.
  • Special Dietary Needs: The event will have food vendors that provide gluten-free dietary options. For those with special dietary needs beyond what will be offered at the event, please contact us at
    ada@ironblossomfestival.com for further assistance.
  • Prescription Medications: All prescription medications must be in the original manufacturer container with your name on it, which matches your government-issued photo ID. Please only bring a sufficient amount of medication for the duration of the event. Your medications must be cleared by one of the medical teams located at each entrance.

Iron Blossom’s bag policy is for the safety of everyone. Bags must be an individual clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC tote bag no larger than 12″x6″x12″ with a single compartment and/or a small clutch bag (4.5″x6.5″). Backpacks are not allowed. Patrons who arrive with a bag other than what is permitted may purchase a clear plastic tote for $15 at the gates.

The Box Office is located at the Main Festival Entrance. Box Office will open at 12pm ET each day.

Chairs will not be permitted at Iron Blossom. Blankets are welcome outside of the main stage viewing area.

In the event of an emergency or severe weather, follow instructions from event staff, stage announcements and festival video boards. Fans are encouraged to follow Iron Blossom social media channels for weather updates.

The Main Festival Entrance is located off of W Leigh St. at the north end of Midtown Green.

There will also be an ADA entrance located at the Midtown Green Parks and Rec Building on Leigh (formerly Bon Secours Training Center) building at 2401 W Leigh St, Richmond, VA 23220. Guests with disabilities may use this lane to safely enter the venue.

Fans can look forward to a diverse range of food & drink offerings from Richmond-favorite food trucks & vendors to festival curated craft cocktails. There will be a variety of vegetarian, vegan & gluten free options. Bar locations will also be set up throughout the site. Please note that if you are 21 years of age or older & plan to consume alcohol at the festival, please be prepared to present proper I.D.

Festival gates open at 1pm ET each day.

Guest Services is located at the entrance to the performance area – please see festival map for approximate location.

Lost & found is located at Guest Services. Email Info@ironblossomfestival.com to inquire after the event.

First Aid is located on the west side of the festival grounds after the Main Entrance – please see festival map for approximate location. Notify the nearest event staff if you require immediate assistance.

We encourage fans to use rideshare or public transportation when possible, including the Science Center stop on GRTC. If you need to drive, there are convenient parking options near Midtown Green. To purchase a parking pass, please click here.

Overnight parking is strictly prohibited. Your vehicle must be out of the parking lot by 11:59PM ET

We highly encourage fans to take advantage of Richmond Public Transportation. The GRTC is FREE! With 15-minute service running from surrounding neighborhoods, the GRTC bus system makes navigating to & from downtown Richmond easy. The GRTC Routes 50, 76, 77 drop off on DMV Drive next to the Science Museum. The PULSE has a station on Broad Street in front of the Science Museum. For more info on the GRTC, click here.

Getting here by train: Amtrak Virginia serves the Richmond Region with three stations: Staples Mill Road in the West End, the historic Main Street Station in downtown Richmond, and the Amtrak station in Ashland. For easiest access to Iron Blossom Music Festival, take Amtrak to the Staples Mill Road or Main Street station. Midtown Green is a quick drive from there.

If you leave the festival BEFORE 6pm ET, you may re-enter at any time that day. Guests who wish to leave before 6pm ET and return must scan out before exiting. All guests will be rescanned and subject to security screening upon re-entry.

If you leave the festival AFTER 6pm ET, re-entry is not permitted. Guests who leave the festival after 6pm ET would need a new ticket to re-enter.

The rideshare pick-up / drop-off area is located off W. Leigh St, south of the main festival entrance.

Limited ticket upgrades will be available at the Box Office located next to the main festival entrance. Upgrades are extremely limited, while supplies last. 

Water bottle refill stations are located throughout the festival grounds. Each guest may bring in one factory sealed water bottle up to 32oz. Guests may also bring in one empty reusable water bottle or CamelBak.

VIP & GA+ ticket holders will need a wristband to access their designated areas. Guests who require ADA accesibility will also need a wristband to access the ADA Viewing Area. After you scan your ticket, please head to the check-in tent next to the festival entrance to obtain your wristband.
